Lisa, aka. FoamFox,  has been fascinated by Japanese Culture since childhood, getting first drawn by Anime and Manga, and then later by food, social life and also through cosplay, which made her join the cosplay community in 2013. She went on her first trip to Japan in 2023, living in the country for four months on a research stay in Kanagawa, close to Tokyo. 

Although slightly afraid that the expectations she had for Japan would be not upheld as they stem from media and cultural festivals in Europe only, she fell in love with the country and everything that goes with it, be it the food, social norms or nature. Her goal is to visit all 47 prefectures of Japan, and she has been back for both work and vacation visiting 27 prefectures as of now.

These trips helped her to learn about Japanese customs and navigating the country and some of the hurdles one may face when travelling to Japan for the first time, like mastering the train system and finding tattoo friendly onsen to soak in.
